The Old Gods corrupt him, twist his mind into thinking that chaos and disorder are the true form of the Universe, and turned him into what we know today. This sends him into a depression, weakening his mental state and letting the whispers get through. Sargeras is charged with fighting back the Nathrezim, who shake his faith with how deceptive and evil their ways are, undoing his hard work. The Old Gods have whispered to the Titans for a very long time, Eons of time go by, and they are ignored. All end in chaos and nothingness, and from this, I speculate further that the Old Gods are the true culprits in the corruption of Sargeras. After a longer period of time, he starts believing that chaos, anarchy, and disorder are the way things are meant to be. After 'defeating' the Dreadlords, he sinks into a depression. While the Dreadlords shook his faith in what he was doing, that's all they did. While everyone says that the Nathrezim were the PRIMARY and ONLY reason he fell, my opinion is that it was the beginning of him listening to other beings. Sources say that the source of Sargeras' corruption were at the hand of the Nathrezim.

My thoughts are this: The Old Gods are the ultimate villain, worse than Sargeras, and in fact, they are responsible for the corruption of Sargeras in the first place. This is a purely speculatory thread, so take everything with a grain of salt:
